Greene County magistrate court, week ending Feb. 28

In Greene County magistrate court Douglas Kenneth Burkhart of Perry was found guilty at a trial Feb. 26 of violation of a no contact order. A judgment was entered against him for a $100 fine with a $35 surcharge. Court costs were $243.80

A judgment was entered Feb. 26 against Anthony Charles Kennnedy  of Jefferson on a charge of trespass. He was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. Court cots were $60.

Fredrick James Selleck of Gowrie was found guilty at a trial Feb. 26 of public intoxication and trespass. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge on each charge. He must also pay a $125 LEI surcharge and $164.88 court costs.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week that ended Feb. 28 as follows: Tyler James Alberts of Jefferson, trespass and theft-fifth degree (two counts: and Thomas James Petrzilka of Scranton, harassment.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week that ended Feb. 28 as follows: *Rebecca Lynn Chumbley of Grand Junction, operating without registration card, $50; and Robert Francis Schroeder of Scranton, failure to yield to vehicle on right, $100.

Also, speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Douglas Leroy Ott of Jefferson.

Speed, $40 (6-10 over):  Adam James Ayers of Adair, Chad Mitchell Wood of Dow City, Jacob Christopher Thomas of Sergeant Bluff, Alanna Belle Orfield of Grand Junction, Brayton Gary Bonney of Bayard, *Bruce Eugene Fillman of Jefferson, Rebecca Jo Larson of Irwin, and Craig William Sanndahl of West Des Moines.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines during the week that ended Feb. 28 as follows (original fine listed): *Raymond Lloyd Barney of Lake City, operation without registration card, $50; and Damion Quinton Louk of Grand Junction failure to have security against financial liability- accident related, $500, paid $300 of fine, judgment entered for remaining $200 fine, $175 surcharge and $60 court costs.

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.

*An additional $5 county surcharge was added.
